New Jersey Diaries: Flower Farm

New Jersey's state moto is, " the garden state" but green grass and fresh flowers may not be the first thing that pops into your mind when you think of visiting Jersey.

Moving up north and having Jersey in my backyard I was shocked with how many gems this state actually had to offer. One place I highly recommend visiting is Holland Ridge Farms.

This flower farm changes what is grown with the seasons. I visited in spring where you would can find rows and rows of beautiful tulips.

The price of admission is $15 and you can pick flowers as you walk for $1 a flower.

The field is set up with props such as chairs, bicycles, carriages, and arches for you to take photos.

They also had a row of food trucks with picnic tables. To note there are no indoor bathrooms but they do have a ton of port a potty's through out the field.

Also, they stop selling tickets an hour before they close which was 6pm. They are pretty strict about closing time and they will not allow you to take photos with the props after that time.

I would highly recommend checking this place out! It was a great family environment but it had so many rows of flowers you could get pictures without other people in them. At first I thought $15 was a steep price for admission but I actually throughly enjoyed myself and will be back again! Maybe in the fall when the sunflowers are blooming.
